Glass Fusing For Beginners Workshop

“Thank you for a thoroughly enjoyable day. I felt the class size was perfect as it allowed for plenty of tuition and you were very patient with us. I was really impressed by the amount and variety of items we were able to make. I would love to do it again in the future.” – Katie C.

On this enjoyable day course, whilst learning the basics of glass-cutting and fusing, you will have the opportunity to produce several items, ranging from sets of coasters and wall hangings to dichroic glass jewellery, either for yourself or as a gift. No previous experience is necessary as you will be taught all the basics you need to know. In a surprisingly short time, you will be confident in your glass-cutting ability.

Students Making Glass-Work

“Thank you for providing a superb course. The content was excellent & most enjoyable.   I really appreciated your hospitality.” – Ken M.

The studio is well-stocked with Bullseye glass, frits, powders and accessories with which you can explore and experiment, trying different techniques and designs, ensuring you get the best out of your day. You may have designs in mind, or we can help with examples. Previous students have found that what they produced greatly exceeded their expectations.

Classes are normally limited to three students, which ensures that you have comfortable work-space and plenty of individual tuition. The workshop runs from 10am to 4pm. Please wear comfortable clothes and close-toed shoes.

All materials, safety equipment and delicious home-made lunch are included in the cost of £120 for the day. These classes are a fun and instructive day with substantial take-home value, ideal either as a treat for yourself or a gift. Gift certificates for our courses are available, allowing your lucky recipient to book on a date of their choosing, a very special and memorable present.

“We have enjoyed this lovely experience, and made beautiful items that are colourful, useful and very very beautiful, even for a complete beginner. [I’ve now been three times with different friends]. Marion has a pragmatic teaching style, always asking about your preferences and supporting your ideas, always attentive and very charming.  Lunch is included too, do it soon.”  –  Jos

“We spent a wonderful day with the very welcoming and knowledgeable Marion. Nothing was too much trouble and we were able to make anything we wanted – we were delighted with the results when they had been fired.  Having been on many crafty courses we can rate this as the best!” – Midge & Elaine
